John is an Immunology PhD student from San Diego, CA. He received his bachelor’s in Biology from Caltech, where he worked on developing new high-throughput screening systems. And at Kite Pharma, he engineered T cells to enhance tumor infiltration. In the Kalbasi lab, John’s research is focused on deciphering the effects of STAT signaling on T cells. In his free time, he likes to play sports, watch football, and spend time with friends and family.
