Sarah Cavender, MSc
Sarah is a PhD candidate in the Cancer Biology Program. She is originally from Indianapolis and completed her bachelor’s degree in Cellular, Molecular & Developmental Biology at Purdue University and her Masters degree in Tumor Biology at Georgetown University. She then worked as research technician at Fred Hutch studying pancreas cancer subtypes. In the Kalbasi Lab, she studies how delivery of cytokine signals can be modulated to tune T cell biology and tumor control. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hobbies like cooking, reading, and knitting.
